"BEAUTIFUL STRANGER"!!!! ...There was so many things that were awesome and funny that happen on the set for "Beautiful Stranger." How she looked? Well, when I first saw her she had sweat pants on and a white tank top. She wasn't in her outfit cause she only came out to go over her marking and all. They were filming off the stage, filming us dancing and mike Myers looking at Madonna. So Madonna wasn't really needed, so she stood behind the camera just doing her moves so that Mike Myers had something to look at, while they film him and us. In that scene I am right behind Mike Myers :). Anyway she was there behind the camera and we were doing many many takes, dancing and dancing to the song. She was behind the camera joking around and laughing and all. Lola was with the nanny off to the left watching her mom be a nut. Then she left to get ready for her shoot and we kept working and all. She came back and they filmed it from back of us showing Madonna performing on the stage. She wore Capri black denim pants with blk heels. A black see through bra with a black lace see through tank top thingy. Anyway her hair is almost shoulder length curly and golden blond with blond highlights. Her make up was soft not so much make-up very beautiful. The video supposed to be that Mike Myers who is Austin Powers comes in to a night club and sees Madonna singing with us dancing. While he is watching she starts acting sexy and slutty and he fantasizes about being with her in many situations, like in the British jaguar and in a living room and in a physcadelic colorful room which the camera makes her look tiny then large and the camera does some spinningaction. I am not in those scene but I watched it and Madonna was too funny I was dying. That's pretty much the video and what you should expect. There's a part which I don't know if they will cut out, but the director requested a few girls and guys to stay later and I was one of them and we did a scene on a couch dancing and Spanking Dr. Evil's butt. It was kidda stupid and took so long. Madonna already left at that moment, So I was bummed. Anyway Madonna was really funny in a the car scene, I don't know how much footage they will use in the video but I saw the making of that part and she was so funny throughout out the song. She climbs all over Mike Myers putting her butt in his face while he is driving and she goes in front of him acting very sexual. It was weird seeing her this way again. She was so funny I think this will be a good video and everyone will love it. While waiting for them to film and get things ready Madonna would stretch and do her yoga. I saw her playing with Lola calling out to her with such a soft voice. Madonna was also playing with us and acting so funny. She flashed mike Myers in front of everyone. Anyway I would tell more but I can't put it into words. As for me meeting her I just went and chanced it and asked for an autograph. She replayed by a nice and simple yes. I told her that she changed my way of thinking about my life and that I truly all time respect her more then anyone alive. So she didn't say much but she gave me a hug and signed my CD that I brought with me. ----------------------------------- Date sent: Fri, 7 May 1999 16:31:53 -0400 (EDT) From: emmy To: The List Subject: )|(: EBEL ad. in Vogue In case you have been looking, the May issue of Vogue (at least in my area) features the Madonna and Lourdes-Maria ad. ------------------------------------- From: MantRa1064@aol.com Date sent: Sat, 8 May 1999 17:44:42 EDT Subject: )|(: Madonna's watch add To: madonna@mlvc.org EBEL WATCH AD IN MAY ISSUE OF BAZZAR!!! She stepped into the world of advertising for Max Factor's new cosmetic range and now she has shot a video to accompany her song Beautiful Stranger, which will feature on the soundtrack to Austin Powers II: The Spy Who Shagged Me. The vid features the film's star Mike Myers as both Austin and Dr Evil and is directed by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour). Madonna plays a brainwashed secret agent who has become a nightclub singer. Austin has gone to retrieve her when he falls madly in love with her. They proceed to frolic about accompanied by Sixties LSD graphics and drive around in Powers' customised Jag. The soundtrack is out on June 1 and aside from the Material Girl, it showcases a spectacular line-up of talent. It includes tracks from REM, Lenny Kravitz, Spice Girl Mel B, plus a special performance by Dr Evil himself of the Bill Withers tune Just The Two Of Us. --------------------------------------- Date sent: Sun, 09 May 1999 17:24:36 +0200 From: Peter Hofmann Send reply to: hofmann.p@mail.multiweb.net To: madonnalist Subject: )|(: BCWMH and MAX FACTOR MAX FACTOR I also had just some information from the Max Factor people in Holland and they told me that the commercials in Europe will be spread out over the year and the one in Holland will be come out right after the summer! They also said that each country will be broadcast an other commercial and that they roulate them so that every country will have all of the commercials on tv. Madonna, who can spot a trend a foot away, was on Martin like white on rice at the Grammys, and here they essay seductive dialogue in both Spanish and English, with producer William Orbit cannily underscoring the aching ballad with a cool electronica sheen. --------------------------------------------- Date sent: Sun, 9 May 1999 23:06:55 -0400 (EDT) From: Julian Escobar To: Keith Caulfield Copies to: madonna@mlvc.org Subject: )|(: Beautiful Stranger, the REMIX Victor Calderone came to DC to spin yesterday and he played the Remix of BS. It is awesome. Nothing I could write here would be fair to the song. I guess it would resemble ROL the closest. It's VERY catchy and yes, people will instantly love it. The sound had some "psychedelic effect" to it, but it's very hard for me to know if the original version will match the remix. It took me a couple of listens to love ROL, Frozen, and POG; it only took a fraction of BS to love it! ---------------------------------------------- From: Red5557804@aol.com Date sent: Sun, 9 May 1999 22:36:20 EDT Subject: )|(: Madonna+Toronto=May 25/Movie and goofy article To: madonna@mlvc.org Two posts in one day..I need help:-) Ghetto Superstar is scheduled to begin shooting in Toronto May 25th. Check out: http://www.canoe.ca/JamColumnBraun/may9_braun.html There's an article printed in today's Toronto Sun about maing fun of Madonna's makeovers. >From the New York Post Madonna is looking surreal MADONNA is still very committed to the film version of 'Chicago,'' in which she'll get to sing, dance and camp it up. But while she's waiting for the movie to get the green light, the Material Mom has been looking at lots of other material. You may have heard rumors she's in line to play Gala, the wife of off-the-wall artist Salvador Dali. ArtNews, for one, thinks Madonna is interested in the part in the movie now being developed by Oscar-winning (for 'Pulp Fiction'') screenwriter Roger Avary. ArtNews says Avary has immersed himself in his subject, living at the St. Regis, Dali's old Manhattan hangout, for months on end - and even growing a Dali-esque mustache in the process. I understand Avary's script will be controversial, to say the least. That's because it's based on 'Lorca-Dali, The Love That Could Not Be,'' by Irish author Ian Gibson. Gibson claims the Spanish surrealist's marriage to Gala was a sham and that Dali actually wanted to go to the canvas with poet Federico Garcia Lorca. Gibson's version of events is that Gala had lots of affairs of her own before and after she married Dali, and that the painter had no use for her sexually. He claims Dali told him that he and Lorca were in love, but that their relationship was never consummated because Dali was 'confused.'' This sounds like the kind of 'family movie'' Madonna - who has achieved pop diva-hood in part by flaunting her sexual ambiguity - could really get her teeth into. ------------------------------------- From: CHUCKRAF@aol.com Date sent: Mon, 10 May 1999 12:38:10 EDT Subject: )|(: MadGuy Options new film To: madonna@mlvc.org Madonna fitting `Dresser' New Line has optioned Simon Doonan's book ``Confessions of a Window Dresser'' for Madonna's MADGUY Films.
